My little brother Leif moved in with us for the next month until he gets married. He is holding Sally, his (male) salamander. You may not be able to tell from this picture, but Sally is NOT our favorite guest.

Worst secret keeper ever!
I tried not to say anything (especially since we aren't telling Mark's family until the reunion next week - so don't mention it to them!) but I just can't keep it to myself. I added two other posts today so I wouldn't feel the need to post this one, but it didn't help. So without further ado, Erik has decided what he wants to be when he grows up... or at least what he will be in 9 months whether he wants it or not...
New job?!
It's true. I have a new job. I am trying to keep Anderson Wood law alive too, but the new position is taking more than full time hours so it is hard. Luckily my law school roommate and friend Lindsey has come up to help out with Anderson Wood.
The new company is called Mortgage Educators. I met the owner at an event for the Utah Association of Mortgage Professionals. He has been working in the industry for 30 years and is brilliant when it comes to all things mortgage. After several meetings, we realized that we both have great products, but if we combined our efforts we could make it amazing. So we joined up and in less than a month we have exceeded our goals. It is a great place to be.
Poor Erik has to find ways to entertain himself while I'm working in the office, but he's been a trooper so far.

The best thing I ever did
Was to wait (almost) 30 years to get married. Granted, if I had met Mark earlier, perhaps I wouldn't have needed to wait so long to get married, but that didn't happen and I don't know if things would have been as perfect if we had. I think Mark and I needed to go through some life experiences before meeting so we could fully appreciate how wonderful our lives are now.
In order to keep this post from getting TOO cheesy, I will cut it off here. (After saying I couldn't be happier and I love Mark!)
